Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Start of a new collection!

Yesterday we went to Frederick to an antique mall and walked around. I didn't get anything old but bought some Polish pottery which is new. I love the blue colors and think I've have just started ANOTHER collection.
Here are my first three pieces.
The mark on the bottom.
I should have taken a picture of the booth with all the different pieces - next time I will. Though I didn't walk yesterday morning, later in the afternoon when we got back I went on a shortened walk and Ken came along with me. We walked 4.3 miles. I didn't walk this morning because of this.
Out my front window.Out the back window.
I really hate winter and want it to be spring!!! For my exercise today I did my exercise tape and then I walked 2 miles in the house walking up and down all three flights of stairs! That was so boring but at least I got a little walking in. I thought it was a good day to do a little baking. So I made some chocolate chip cookies.
I also read and finished Cross Country by James Patterson.
This was an another Alex Cross book which had him chasing a criminal to Nigeria. Though I usually like James Patterson I thought this book was just soso.
This was book number 9 for my LibraryThing Challenge.
I just got back inside from shoveling snow off the front steps, sidewalk, and the driveway. For the rest of the afternoon I'm going up in my loft to do needlepoint. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I saw this on Vee's blog and thought it was a silly fun thing to do. If you want to play go ahead and have some fun. What's in a name? 1. YOUR REAL NAME: Karen 2. I really like your Polish pottery. I think I have seen that on QVC and they call it Polish Stoneware. It may be different, but it looks similar. Very pretty. And it's always fun to start a new collection.

It looks like you had a good day to stay indoors and bake cookies and do needlepoint. You are so very disciplined with your exercise. I wish I could say the same.

The new polish pottery collection is so pretty. I love the colors, although I am partial to any shades of blue. Looking forward to seeing a picture of the place you purchased the pottery to see the collection. I have seen that type of pottery around somewhere, just don't remember where. It might have been on QVC.

Had at least 13 inches of snow yesterday, so I spent the day at home. Today it is 9 degrees, hope it warms up soon. Can't wait until spring.

Like your new blue collection, too. Very pretty!

Your determination to get your exercising in is impressive!

Your Polish pottery looks very pretty. My late wife was Hungarian and her family had similar pieces.
Your name game gave some interesting results.

I started collecting Polish pottery when my husband was stationed in Iceland and we could get it at the base exchange. I've had good luck finding pieces at Marshall's, TJ Maxx and Ross for great prices.

I always see beautiful pieces at Homegoods too. The blue will be beautiful in your kitchen.

Tisk and Cheryl,
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll look in all those places.

Very pretty pottery!

You got quite a bit of snow. We had just a smattering on Sun. and Mon. But it has been soooo cold for March.

And walking makes my back feel better so sometimes I just pace in the house. It is boring though.

Cute name game!

I like the pottery. Such a pretty color. I was ready to get the James Patterson book then saw that you rated it soso. Guess I'll pass.

The pottery looks nice, I hope there is enough place for your new collection, lol.

Hello! - Your meme and lack of middle names really got me thinking. Where did the custom of giving middle names come from? - Now I'll have a google project to while away my rainy afternoon.
