Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Not many people out walking yesterday morning - only a couple of people with their dogs. I didn't go around the lake but walked on the "connect the paths" route. I can't believe all the deer I see around here every day - saw 7 of them yesterday. I also saw a couple of bunny rabbits hanging out together so I'm sure to see lots more of them in the weeks to come. :-) I passed by the playground over by the pool again and the swings called to me so I stopped a while to swing on the swings. Boy if that doesn't make you feel like a kid again!! We were out and about for a good part of Saturday. A quick stop at Walmart to get socks and ended up buying towels, shirts, and a little 2 quart crock pot. I use my big crock pot a lot, but sometimes I don't want to make so much for just the two of us so this little one will be perfect. At Lowe's we got a counter top for the cabinets we bought last week for Ken's work/hobby room. That's my old iMac on the counter there. He uses it just for the iTunes. Stopped at a bunch of other places too including a stop at the old house. We really need to finish up at that house. There is some painting that needs to be done and a few little repairs but it just is hard to get motivated to do anything over there. Over night it rained and snowed a bit and this morning it was 29 degrees. The sidewalks looked shiny which may have been ice. That fall I took on the ice put a bit of a scare into me so reluctantly I decided not to walk. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Stay a while in God's presence.
Psalm 37:7 Be still and rest in the Lord; wait for Him and patiently lean yourself upon Him.
When you are feeling discouraged or sad, He will cheer you up. When you are tired, feeling lonely, or facing a hard time, He will give you strength. You just have to sit in his presence a while and wait for Him to move in you life. Have a blessed Sunday and remember God loves and cares about each one of you.

A very good word for today.

Yes, that nasty old snow is heading our way and promises to be worse than last week's storm. Yuck...makes me nearly ill to even consider it. I'm glad that your good sense prevailed about walking today on ice. I fell last week on ice and haven't been the same since and I have more padding than you!

I like the way Ken's room is shaping up. Will he use the countertop for a desk? The whole set-up is giving me ideas.

It must be wonderful to see all that wild animals when you`re out walking.

Vee - Ken will use the counter top as a work top. He can either sit down or stand because it's higher than a desk or table would be. He might get a couple other cabinets for over the counter too. It seems the perfect thing for him.

I think you were very smart not to walk if there was ice around. You don't want another fall. The iMac in Ken's work room is just like the one I've replaced, but mine, too, is still doing duty in my back work area. It's still a neat machine.
