Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Monday Monday

Yesterday we went to the town house with our son David to show him how it was coming along. Since it was Sunday no more work was done on it since last time. While there we met a few people who will be our neighbors. We all climbed up the side of our house up to the second floor and were walking around all the houses. Alex and Claudia will be living 3 doors down from us. They are a young couple who where there with her parents. Very nice people! We had met Tim who will be living 2 doors down the other day and his parents were there yesterday too. I was going to take picture of us all walking around but the battery in my camera died. It was so cool walking around up there and I can now get a good picture of the finished house in my mind. Yesterday afternoon I made a cheese cake. I got this recipe from my mom years ago and it is my favorite cheese cake of all time.
Click on the picture for the recipe.
I took this fall picture this morning on my walk. It is on the path behind the school. Today was a Meals on Wheels day for me. There were 6 people on my list but only 4 home to deliver to meals to. Mrs W was out with her daughter and my new lady Janice had a doctors appointment. I had my other three regulars who were all doing good and a new person, Mrs B who is very nice and really likes to talk. Nothing shy about her. :-) I was surprised to learn that she is 3 years younger than I am. She has so many things wrong with her and still is happy with a great attitude. That's my day so far. When Ken gets home from work we plan to go to the mall and have super at a Mexican restaurant and walk around a bit. I'm sure a stop at the town house will be in there somewhere too. When we get home we will have a piece of that cheese cake I made yesterday. Happy Monday one and all!! :-)

The colors in that school path photo are so beautifully muted. One could create a room around them.

It must've been cool, even strange, to walk around in the townhouse. Good that you are getting a headstart on meeting the neighbors!

I snagged the recipe. Sounds yummy and easy.

I loved visiting my house as it was being built. I became friends with my neighbor Kelly and we're still great friends 15 years and two ex-husbands later!

The cheesecake looks great. I want to find my mother's recipe and make it. We loved it but she only made it for company. I wonder why?

The cheese cake looks so good! It would be fun walking with you but I probably couldn't keep up.

The colors in the last picture are great, I like your walks and I like to walk too but prefer my bike.
