Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.

Starting the day

I didn't see many people out and about on my walk this early Sunday morning but I did get to watch the sun come up, have a deer run across the path up ahead of me, saw a fox and was lucky to see a heron flying low over the water.

Every morning when I walk I take time to pray and thank God for another day.

Mark 1:35
And in the morning, long before daylight,
He got up and went out to a deserted place,
and there He prayed.

I wish you all Happy Sunday!

  2. Your morning sounded perfect, and I like the idea of consciously being thankful for each day. I hope the rest of your day was great.
