Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Along the path in the woods

Yesterday we did go to take a look at the town house and what a surprise as we pulled around the corner and saw all this wood piled up.
They put the top plate on the concrete all along the top.
The first two houses have the iron girders up and ours are probably up too as I write this now and I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the wall up when we go look at it later today.
I am standing on the concrete at the front of the house when I took this picture.
A good trip to the dentist this morning for both of us. Just a routine cleaning and we are set for another 6 months. The Dr was happy with the cookies I baked for him and I reminded him to brush his teeth! :-) Ken dropped me off home after the dentist and he went to work. I came in the house, changed into my walking clothes and walked up to the park and along the paths. Here's a little video I took along a path.
I took several photos as well. Along the path.
The river along the path.
A place to sit and watch the river.
I stood on some rocks in the river and took this picture.
I saw a few people walking and running but I pretty much had the paths all to myself. I stopped at the two bridges I came to and watched leaves floating down to the water and then float away. It was so peaceful watching the river. I love walking in the woods, hearing the wind through the trees, the rustling of the leaves as I walk through them and the water tumbling over the rocks. What a perfect fall day. I ended up walking a bit farther than I normally do because I just didn't feel like turning around and heading back. I ended up walking 8.5 miles! Now I'm off to read some blogs, do a few things around the house and if there is any time left I'll read until Ken comes home from work. I'm hoping your Tuesday is a Happy one, and if it's not that tomorrow will be better!! Smile - it makes people wonder what you've been up to. :-)

Just browsing random blogs and stopped by. That's a beautiful walk, is the new place you mentioned in a scenic area too? It'd be a shame to lose it.

It was fun to hear your voice! I can see why you enjoy that walk with the sound of the river flowing past...very nice.

Good girl for a good report at the dentist. That's right! You keep him on the straight and narrow, too. The cookies should help. ;>

What a treat to hear your voice! We have a trail down the hill from us where I take Bear. It looks very simular. Our's has the unfortunate name of "Dead Horse Canyon" but it's wonderful. I'll have to make a video post next time we go.

I've been a bad blogger recently. Nothing wrong - just busy trying to catch up. I'm determined to be at least on schedule by the time the crowd in here for Thanksgiving.

Your townhouse is well underway. I know you are excited and happy. I'm glad you are keeping us 'in-the-loop' - I get excited and happy right along with you.

Love your walking trail - something I love - a trail (or pathway) through unspoiled nature. Thanks for sharing the pics and video.

What a great walk! Reminds me of a place I used to walk back in IL. Thanks for sharing your walk with us!
Your condo is coming right along, isn't it. Do you have a time frame when it will be done?

It would have been rather funny if someone jumped out of the brush on to the path as you were filming.

Hi! I guess you can`t wait to see more of your new home comming up.
I looked at your video and photos, very nice place for walking and photographing. At my place we got the first snow. My morning walk was white and quiet.
