Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

The lawn finally gets mowed

It was pretty chilly out there this morning on my walk. Only 40 degrees. I think it's time to start wearing my clothes in layers. It sure felt good to feel the sun shining on me once it came up. After doing a few morning things around the house I finally managed to get outside and mow the lawn. Once I started I didn't mind doing it and I felt so good once it was done. I cut back some more dead plants and did some weeding. I didn't even attempt to get out the weed wacker - I haven't had much luck with that thing lately. Later in the afternoon I got to read a little and started knitting another white square. I now have a little more than half of the squares knitted. Who knows I may even finish it one of these days. After supper we of course had to take a ride to see if they actually did start our town house. Lots of dirt was moved around. Doesn't look like much but at least it's a start. Our house will be on the end here - lot 48. This is just a look down where the whole row will be. This evening we watched Veronica Mars and I got to have my chocolate chip ice cream which I looked forward to all day. Hope your Tuesday was a Happy one.

I thought of you mowing while I was swimming. Hopefully you got a later start than me because the grass was wet. I was so hot after my swim that I drove to work with the AC on!

Sounds like you had a productive day. I'll bet it feels good to have the lawn done.

You and Kenny have the prettiest empty lot in the whole wide world!

It's finally cold here in the evenings and I think of you everytime I snuggle into the afgan you made - I love it!

Brrr.. it does sound a tad chilly! Definitely the Autumn nip coming around, isn't it!
Lucky #48, it's going to be a fantastic lot, that's for sure!!
Better scoop up a jar of that dirt.. it's going to be special! Place it on the mantel when you finally move in! =)
